My students are energetic and talkative. They have a lot to say. Many of my students have and continue to experience traumatic events. As a class, we are a community where everyone's differences and experiences are respected. Because of the high energy in class, sometimes learning is difficult, but we move around a lot throughout the day. Dancing, mindfulness, and singing help my students prepare for learning and gives a positive outlet for the students' energy. Our school is a Title I public school. We face many challenges, but strive to create a positive atmosphere for students, parents, teachers, and the community.
