Are you interested in giving to education, but wondering where to begin? I teach in an urban third grade classroom. Over 90% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. My students are eager learners and have a tremendous desire to do well in school. However, there are some obstacles in their way. I am requesting donations because unfortunately due to lack of funding, students do not receive materials that could enrich their learning experience. Over half of my students are performing below grade level in reading, writing and math, and this gap has grown as they get older. We can work together to help close the achievement gap for inner city youth. Any amount of donations is greatly appreciated!
