Newport is a small town within a big metro area. This means that my students are very closely connected and enjoying working together. They are exceptionally good at playing (or singing) together as an ensemble and can anticipate each others thoughts and actions. The parents of many of my students work hard to make a living for their families, which makes their children incredibly resilient. There are many who unfortunately cannot afford playing an extra instrument in band or orchestra, which is why having a set of ukuleles would be so beneficial to them. These students are able to pick things up quickly, and put forth their best effort in everything they do. They are still kids of course, and are high spirited, goofy and sweet. They deserve all that their education can afford them!
