Our students are urban youth who for some will never have the chance to experience a professional dance training class. Some may not have the courage to share their love for self expression. It is amazing to have quality lessons for free with quality materials. Quality investments in their education and fitness matter to the students. They seem to take the subject more seriously when they see how much work actually goes into preparation and follow through. Dance is a doing sport, an all encompassing journey of emotion. The more imagery that is used (such as costumes), the more real it becomes for them. The same goes with training. The more quality of an experience I can show them, the better lesson and learning experience is had. Our school is full of untapped potential.
