Deaf and hard of hearing students rely heavily on visuals. The use of these resources will help my deaf/hard of hearing students while learning at home. It will give them the opportunity for language building and visual learning that is crucial to their academic growth. These resources will also help parents support their child's learning. During these different times, it is important that our students can access the curriculum the way they need. Students will be able to use dry erase boards and magnetic letters to build word knowledge. They will also be able to use sign language magnets and flash cards to build sign language and reinforce this learning at home. The need for visual language reinforcement is great for deaf children, highlighter tape and flash cards will help during reading activities to bridge theory English reading and sign language. By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase visual learning, focus and understanding but you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
