Headphones will help create a learning environment for my students where they have "voice and choice". Allowing them a choice in what they want to learn about, and hear about through headphones, gives students control over their learning. While using headphones, students can select an activity on their iPads that is different from the student sitting next to them. Using headphone will limit distractions. Students can also use the iPads to read and listen to books. This technology really helps my ELL students with pronunciation. By allowing them to listen to a variety of texts, my students are increasing their vocabulary and developing fluency.
