My students love to work in collaborative, cooperative groups. In order to do that, they have to be able to move around the classroom. Our environment has to be fluid and flexible. With these book holders, students will be able to easily grab their supplies and move around the room. In addition to making movement easier, these holders will also help students become more organized. No longer will they have that black hole of a desk whose open mouth devours papers and assignments. Having these simple cubbies to hold their book and folders will force them to think about how to organize their work. Being organized is a life long skill that we all need in all parts of our lives! Collaborative, cooperative, organized, good decision-making: all skills that help us all to be successful students! Secondly, those cooperative skills need to happen outside of the classroom as well! It's time for some fun, new PE games that will not only get the heart pumping, but will encourage team-building. We are limited with our PE supplies, so any equipment is welcomed!
