I teach second grade. The community in which I teach is a primarily low socio-economic area. My students have varying backgrounds many of which cause them to experience situations I would have never thought of at the age of seven or eight. They come from families that may love them but often do not have the means to support their education in the best way possible. It is important to me to provide them with a rich experience at school so school becomes a place they look forward to going. I want them to have a safe place where they know they will always have someone to go to and someone who believes in them. Our school has a loving staff that does their best to make our school a positive environment for our students.

About my class
