In 3rd grade students have the opportunity to sign up for a string instrument. Due to budget limitations and limited resources I am unable to offer students string bass as an option! On average, a local music store will charge a family $65-$80/month to rent a string bass Many parents are working 3 jobs and struggling to keep bread on the table and therefore unable to afford the monthly payments. I have been working closely with the school's PTA and leadership team, as well as, community members to establish a strong music program. I need your assistance in maintaining the strings program and allowing me to offer string bass! Because of programs like DonorChoose.org there is hope that monetary roadblocks are nothing more than hurdles that can be overcome through your generosity! I have already promised my students we would have a bass available in the fall of 2017; Let's not let them down! Please consider a donation. Help me to continue providing an outlet for creativity and growth for my students and community! Thank you for your consideration!
