My second grade students are a very talented bunch. They are curious and are interested in learning in any way they can. They are highly enthusiastic and always ready to try new tasks. Although language may be difficult for a few, this does not detour them. They work as a team to move forward. My students are a multi-leveled group of English language learners. Many of them are first generation or immigrants to this country. Our school is an amazing school. We are a neighborhood school that works as a community to help all our students to succeed. We are a Title I school providing free breakfast, lunch, and snacks for 450+ students (87% of which are classified as 'Economically Disadvantaged'; 35% "English Learners'" and 16% "Students with Disabilities"). Our school does not provide sets of tablets for use in the classroom. However, our students have hopes, dreams and ideas for a better tomorrow.
