Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Struggling readers like colorful pictures and up to date topics to interest them. Many children are surprised when I say that reading a magazine is one way to read for enjoyment. Scholastic magazines grab students' interests. I have requested Scholastic Storyworks, Scholastic News, and Scholastic Spin magazines. Students who read these attention getting magazines find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is a perfect way to build better readers. My students will love getting their hands on these magazines.
