We are a small, rural community in South Dakota. Many of my students live in the country outside our community, so they don't always have the opportunity to hang out and play with their friends. For most of them, the only time they get to spend with their friends is at school. I think it is important to give them time during the day to interact with each other. My students love to be engaged in learning. They enjoy getting together with a partner to do activities and read books.
