My students are English Language Learners who are working hard to learn everyday in their second languages. I along with my co-teacher work with 90 students throughout the day in Kindergarten - 5th grade. We spend 45 minutes in groups each day where we build language skills that native speakers obtain through their daily interactions at home, such as grammar, everyday vocabulary, and conversational language. Along with building their academic vocabulary and providing a small safe place to practice a second language, and build confidence in using their voices to share their opinions and beliefs on our daily lessons.
