Every Friday, during lunch recess, we have a walking and running club for our students and staff. After they eat lunch, the students that have joined the club can walk and run laps around the school outlined field. We play music and encourage each other to complete as many laps as they can. Each student carries their own personal club card which we use to track each students' lap and later reward them for completion of thirty two laps. These materials will further motivate and reward my students to set personal fitness goals and help encourage other students to join in on the fun. Most importantly, my hope is to encourage students to be physically active and have fun while doing so!
