A kidney shaped table will be beneficial to the learning experience of my students. We currently work at rectangular tables which make it difficult to meet the needs of all students in the group. A kidney shaped table will allow my students to have better small group instruction. It will help me meet the needs of each individual student within the group. With a kidney shaped table, the I can sit in the middle and easily see what each student is doing. In this way, I can better lead multiple students at once through lessons, reviews and guided reading groups. A kidney shaped table also allows for up to 6 students to be seated comfortably. It allows each student easy access to work in a group as they collaborate to complete assignments.
