The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are vital to their success. In other words, I know exactly what I will use everything for. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The projector will facilitate the learning by providing allowing me to use multimedia resources to teach the students. The paper, staplers, markers, file folders and other supplies of the sort will be used by the students, so that they may create portfolios of their successes over the course of the year. The timer will be used so that my students know how much work time they have left, as it is not good practice to cut off students without warning. The chart paper will be used to create anchor charts that reflect the discussions we have during our mini-lessons. The snacks will serve as incentives. This is the first time my students have a dedicated Social Studies class and I want to ensure that it is the BEST experience they ever had. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long historian. As a Social Studies Teacher, I take very seriously my role in creating civic and global minded young people. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks! The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful teachings from history. Having these materials will allow me to bring to them the true essence of a dedicated Social Studies class. By implementing programs such as Reading Like a Historian and other project based learning opportunities I know I can bring the young people to feel as passionately about History as I do.
