My students are a very diverse group. Most of them enjoy being on a computer and greatly appreciate the lessons that use the Chromebooks. My school is in an Urban area where providing Differentiated Instruction can benefit ALL students so that they progress and are successful across the curriculum. As the School Media Specialist, I believe that having the Chromebooks in the library is extremely beneficial to most of the students I teach every week. Right now, the biggest obstacle I face is not being able to teach my students basic researching skills and lessons that involve life skills, such as looking up what college they might want to attend in the future, or how to construct a proper resume for when they apply for jobs and careers, because the students are not always able to use Chromebooks. I want my students to be successful and knowledgeable, and have wonderful interactions using various types of media, such as books and the Chromebooks I plan to have in the school library.
