My students are hard working kids who need a different approach to learning. They are students who live in a home where English is not their primary spoken language, they live in a single-parent household and live with an income below the federal poverty line. These students did not come to school with the readiness skills required for Kindergarten and need interventions in subjects areas to catch up. Finding ways to motivate my students can at times be challenging. My students face daily struggles and are faced with real world situations that other students take for granted. My school is Title I funded and meets the educational needs of students living near or at poverty levels. Students often need a little push and extra love to grab their attention in academics and school in general. Overall, our school is made up of hardworking educators and professionals who go beyond and above for their students academic and personal needs. Our main goal is always the success of students.
