These materials will be used to assist students to calm down and to re-focus when they are unable to control their emotions. The different types and variety will give the students a choice in what they need to help them feel in control of the situation. These fidgets will allow them to calm their brains and then be able to talk about what was bothering them. At that point, strategies and skills can be taught. These items also serves to help re-focus the brain so that when they return to the classroom they are ready to learn.
