With your gift, my students will be able to use a variety of resources to restore peace and calm within themselves. Students will have an area of the classroom that will be set up to address social emotional well being. Noise reduction headphones will be used to damper sound. Play-doh and other sensory toys will be used to help students manage frustration or anger. A bean bag chair and rug with calm designs will be a comfy spot to help students feel safe. LEGO bricks and blocks will be used for students who need a break from the academic lesson, yet need an outlet for their imagination and creativity.
