Due to implementation of new curriculum, students have had less opportunity to express themselves artistically. My goal is to bring this joy back into learning with these supplies. I want to incorporate art into reading and mathematics. They will be able to express their creative expression through art while still focusing on Common Core standards. I would like to incorporate AVID strategies, such as the one-pager, to give students to express their learning through art. College readiness is our goal. Therefore, having tools like the automatic 3-hole punch will help them keep all papers 3-hole punched and organized in their binders. Having the lap desks will give students flexible seating options, which research shows has significant impacts on learning.
