My fifth grade class is comprised of 9 girls and 11 boys of all different learning abilities. We are at a title 1 school where all children receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school district as a whole struggles with standardized testing, especially since most students are below grade level in reading. We spend a lot of our school day focused on reading instruction.
