My students have a lot of stress because of various circumstances in their lives. The large rug and pillows will allow us to have a single gathering place outside of our hard classroom desk chairs for storytime, meditation, and whole group lessons. Right now, everything is done on tables/desks, or very small rugs around the room. The large rug will allow closer proximity to my students, which helps them avoid distractions in and around their desks. I know my kids will love having a big place to stretch out and read as well. The classroom can be noisy, and having items like these can help soften the noise. I hope you’ll consider helping us add soft spaces to our room! Give these awesome kids a cozier classroom!
