My 3rd grade class was newly added for this year. Unfortunately, we do not have a classroom library and the school has no funds for it. Reading is really important at my students' age. I have taught my students the routine of independent reading and they love it! With this library, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their grade level in our classroom. I have selected both fiction and nonfiction books because this mixture is important to promote reading skills. I have also included copies of a chapter book in Spanish for the whole class.
