The students I work with are new to this country and are learning to adjust to their new surroundings as well as learning a new language. I also work with students who are reading well below grade level. I see both of these groups everyday in order to ensure there is steady progress in their academics. A laminator will allow me to create games that both groups of students will benefit from. They will be able to play games that will help them with phonics as well as learning new vocabulary. I find that students learn best when they are having fun playing games with each other. During my sessions with my students, I am always creating books for small group instruction and having a paper trimmer can help cut time so I can use the extra time for my students. When we do writing, we are always editing and revising and I find that the erasers on the back of the pencil run out quickly so having erasers in hand would be much better.
