My class consists of 22 kindergarten students, eleven whom are English language learners. We come from a predominately poor socioeconomic area, where more than seventy percent of our students receive free lunch. These kids love to see and do, not sit and listen. The more I can integrate hands-on activities with mystery outcomes, the more engagement and retention we can achieve.
