The students in this school come from a lower socio-economic status/environment. In turn, they are not exposed to stories/books at home. Many come from a diverse background with ESL needs--these emergent language learners can benefit from audio stories from various genres. It is imperative across grade levels to have good listening skills; hearing a book read on tape/CD helps children understand how the words on the pages can come alive in a fluid and expressive way!

About my class
