I want to have a listening center (CD player and headphone in my classroom to promote the love of books and reading. Having a listening center in my classroom will enable a small group of students to independently listen to books on CD while following along with a book in their hands. Reading Opens up a whole new world for young children. They love to be read to, but not all are fortunate enough to have this experience at home. I know from experience, that listening to stories being read to them will inspire creativity and the love of reading.
