I currently teach at a school that is working so hard to support their students. Our kids have had to tackle poverty, violence, and discrimination; they have also had to work hard to catch up to their grade level. Many of our children were failed by the education system but are still striving to be successful. As a teacher, I try to do my best to make sure that my kids are not only caught up but pushed beyond their academic level. But it takes a village to raise a child.
