My class consists of 27 students from all different backgrounds. My school is a title 1 school with over half receiving free or reduced lunch. My second grade classroom's goal is to create a love for reading and to expand their vocabulary. Unfortunately, not many students have books at home and or may not be on their reading levels. By filling out a donors choice request I may be able to provide them with different types of reading genres, different styles of texts and expand their vocabularies through creating a love for reading.
