Hi Everyone! As you can tell from my classroom photo, we love to be creative, we also love to do book projects over the books that we read! This particular project was our December book project. The students created a Christmas tree, and ornaments that were labeled with the story elements of their book. I think kids learn so much more when they are using their imagination, creating, and having fun. I am a first year teacher, I started by teaching career in November of this year. To my surprise our school does not have technology available to the students in the classroom. We also have outdated curriculum, our text books are eleven years old. Most of our material is stuff that we find on the internet, and/or pay for out of our own pockets. I am constantly searching for ways to engage my students, and create an eagerness in them to learn.
