We love reading in our classroom! My students' favorite part of the day is our independent reading time, where they curl up with a great book and let their minds wander to far away places within the pages of their stories. I have spent a lot of my own money bringing high interest books to ignite my students’ interest in reading and it has almost worked too well! Their love for reading has grown immensely and I love it! I want to sustain their interest in reading by having more choices of high interest series. Reading gives students a better understanding about their world and helps them to make sense of their experiences. This project will have a lasting impact on the life of my students by continuing to cultivate their love of reading!
