I have an 8th grade class of 16 students who live in a rural town in Maine. Our town is beautiful with its 16 lakes and ponds and a 1000 ft. mountain which overlooks miles of Eastern Maine. Our school consists of approximately 180 Pre-K to 8th grade students. They are very respectful children who look out for each other. We feel we have a unique school because of the Pre-K to 8th grade students who mingle with each other on a daily basis. Our 8th graders are the role models for the school and do a fantastic job showing our younger students how to be respectful and care deeply about their school. Recently we've spoken to our Historical Society about videotaping a documentary about our town with their historical knowledge as part of our research. Unfortunately we do not have access to a camcorder that is functioning anymore. I'm hoping our class will be chosen so that we'll be able to complete what we think is a very worthwhile project.
