Studies show physical activities increasing children's brain function and retention. Equipment, such as jump ropes, hoops, and swing balls help improve students' motor coordination and balance. Those skills improve children's eye and hand coordination, speed, and agility. I see a major difference in students' learning after outdoor activities, especially physical education. They are able to focus more during class and stay on task during independent work. I strongly believe the children at any age need to develop motor skills and the enhancement of reflexes. When hand-eye coordination is improved, as well as good body movements, which helps in the development of a healthy body posture. In addition to physical improvement, outdoor activities are more than just a free break for students to exercise. It gives them opportunities to experience socialization and real communication. It is for them to interact with each other, build friendship and learn how to be kind.
