My over 1,000 students are in three elementary schools, in rural Pennsylvania. Many come from socio-economically disadvantaged households, but it doesn't stop their creativity or enthusiasm for art. They are in grades kindergarten through 5th. Our art program, like many in the nation was cut in half a few years ago, but I am happy that we have an art program at the elementary level, because many schools do not. I do however, want to keep the art program interesting and up to date so that it is never in danger of being cut. This means keeping up with technology, drafting, architecture, photography, graphic arts and more. All of these fields are all continually advancing in this direction. I am hoping with an ipad and and the students making these video art shows it will help to show the great things that are happening in the art room and how creative the students are and that this will lead to more support of the art program.
