The students in my classroom are given opportunities to use technology on a daily basis. We conduct research projects, practice typing our stories and essays, and create multi-media presentations. The students also have access to an online curriculum that is tailored to their personal level in reading and mathematics. Gaining two more laptops will allow more students to access the many uses of technology in our classroom. We do have some laptops already, but the quantity is minimal and glitches occur on a daily basis. Some of the students in my classroom do not have a computer at home. Therefore, school is sometimes the only opportunity to learn through technology. This group of students will need computer-based skills during the rest of their education and for when they enter the workforce. Why not start being more tech-savvy in 4th grade?
