Expensive graphing calculators are a necessity for higher-level mathematics, but create financial barriers for many students. In my course, we use graphing calculators to analyze functions, perform complex statistical tests, explore probability simulations, and much, much more. While many of these tasks can be performed by hand, it is extremely time-consuming and antiquated. Instead, our students should have the opportunity to become fluent with 21st-century tools. By donating to help purchase two calculators, you'll be helping to reduce educational inequities in higher-level mathematics. These calculators will become part of my slowly growing classroom set that any student can use free of charge. Thank you so much for your time and generosity!
