Our school is located in Baltimore City Public School System. Our school is Title I Targeted Assistance School and most of my students receive free and reduced meals. My students are kind, hard-working and show incredible perseverance in the face of many odds. They are enthusiastic about everything we do in school. Our school community is close-knit, with many involved parents and partners pitching in. Many of my students will enter kindergarten below grade level. Their oral language skills and vocabulary are well behind those of their more affluent peers, and they will need extra support in order to end the year on or above grade level. However challenged, my students are extremely motivated to experience the world first hand and are on their way to become lifelong learners.
