My students are creative and outspoken. They definitely know what they like and don't like! I am a first year teacher at a very low SES school. Many of my students come from tough backgrounds and are dealing with a lot outside of school. My goal as their teacher is to make them feel safe and wanted in my classroom. I strive to build real relationships with my students because I feel that if a student has trust and feels safe then they are more likely to want to be focused and learn. I have loved getting to know my class and their abilities so far this year. I have a lot of very artistic students and it is so fun to watch what they create. My students also LOVE math so the math manipulative's I have chosen will be extremely fun for them to use. We don't have many manipulative's in the classroom right now so I know they will be excited abo
