We will be creating a class Google Slides presentation where our students will choose an animal, add a photo, and write about their chosen animal. This and other amazing writing activities will take place on these new chromebooks. My Fantastic 1st graders will become multimedia authors. Anytime they are able to get on Google Slides, Google Docs, and Google classroom it will expose them to a whole new world of multimedia: illustrations, videos, and visuals. They will be able to access google maps and see where the animals that they are learning about come from. Having seen the growth of my students this year as writers, I am inspired to lead them on to be digital authors, so that they can advance their learning and share their ideas with family and friends.
