I have twenty-two wonderful First Graders. They love school and love to learn! Just today one of my students said, "I would rather be at school than at home. At school you get to learn so many things. At home it is just boring!" Our school has a high number of free/reduced lunches, so not everyone can afford their own headphones. I have purchased about ten from my own income. I would love to have enough for each of my students to have their own.
