This project is to provide titles to students who wish to join our book club but may not be able to afford a book or do not have access to get the title. When students have access to books with characters and situations that are similar to their own lives they are more likely to read. Using these titles as a way to motivate and encourage the reluctant readers we hope to build a culture of reading for pleasure in our school building. Through these texts, we will be able to spark conversations and discussion with our students on real-world issues and help them become more globally aware students.

About my class
