We recently asked students to respond to a survey about increasing student engagement in the library, and there were several areas that came up repeatedly--students want more choice books and a quiet, comfortable place to read them. Our manga collection is one of the most heavily utilized areas of the library collection, but these series are expensive to maintain. The cost of replacing lost copies and keeping up with new installments and series has left the manga section in need of some love. A number of students emphasized the importance of lounge space in the library, and we'd like to add a couple of solid, adult-sized beanbags to fill this need.
