These Samsung Chromebooks will make a tremendous impact in my classroom. They will be used to access educational websites and work in all areas of the curriculum, in math and literacy centers, for science research and all throughout the writing process. My students are currently learning how to write a research paper using the IIM Model, and having Chromebooks would allow them not only to do the research required, but to write, edit and revise their work throughout the entire writing process. In this day and age, technology is fundamental in order to be able to be college and career ready. These devices would give my students opportunities to delve deeper into their science investigations, exposing them to videos and visuals of things we learn about that we can't experience first hand. Having this resource will give my students the opportunity to do research and practice important skills throughout the day, every day. At present, 24 children are sharing 3 devices. My ultimate goal is to have a device for each student in my classroom.
