Reading is so important to high school students' success. Learning a new language and having to read a high school textbook is intimidating. I would like to help students gain reading skills in English and eventually help give them the confidence to tackle their textbooks on their own. To do this, I need a variety of reading materials at a variety of reading levels to help students practice reading in English. My goal is to have students reading something of their choice in the classroom, 30 minutes two times a week. This way students can practice reading and hopefully find enjoyment in reading.
