My students work. Sometimes they need a creative spark, but they treat my art class like a core curriculum class. The students, who sometimes clash with other teachers, find a haven and behavior modification in my class. My school is high poverty, actually 93%, but we do well. I want my students not only to be creative, draw well, and become good people, but also realize and take responsibility for their decisions.
