The kids that take the class are dedicated to practicing and learning about visual art. They have the drive to try skills, techniques with different kinds of media over and over again until they get it just right. The school is located in an urban neighborhood where most students are on free or reduced lunch. They come from poor families and are trying to do their very best with what they have been given. The students as a whole are polite and have dreams beyond just getting though high school. Each year our school sends more students off to college! They work hard and are determined to reach their dreams.
