We have our classroom set up in a way to promote strategic areas designated for certain subjects such as, ELA and Math as well as Calendar time and Reading centers. Currently we don't have carpets in these areas and the children will gather on the bare floor. I'm hoping to make them more comfortable during whole group instruction as well as provide a space for them to feel comfortable during centers and read-to-self times. Also, we are hopefully getting white boards soon to replace chalk boards but are not able to use the green boards until this happens. An easel will be a mobile solution to my lack of writing/modeling space.
