The aquatics course at Lindblom Math and Science Academy is a new course at Lindblom. Many of the students in the class had little to no swimming experience before taking the class. They have worked hard and improved a lot since the of the year and this equipment will develop their skills even more. Our high school is a selective enrollment math and science academy located in a rough neighborhood, but my students travel from all over the south side to come here. My students in the high school are seventy-one percent African-American and twenty-five percent Hispanic, over sixty-nine percent of whom are eligible for free or reduced price lunches. They are driven and motivated; they like to try new things and to challenge themselves in every way possible.
