Our first annual Turkey Trot will take place in November. Every student at my school will take home pledge sheets and walk or run (trot!) to benefit our school. This event promotes a healthy lifestyle for students and their families as parents are encouraged to participate too. Students are directly involved in doing something positive for their school. The three canopies will be used as drink and reward stations. Using a canopy makes it easily identifiable as well as lending shelter to volunteers and students when needed on a midwest fall afternoon. The PA system will play music and announce the start/finish! Cones will help mark the route and the punchers will track the students' progress.
